German Pancake

German Pancakes (aka Dutch Baby Pancakes) are light, fluffy pancakes that puff up around the pan while baking. Topped with fresh fruit and a little bit of honey, these will become a regular addition at your breakfast table.

Ingredients

2 1/2 Tablespoons butter
3/4 cup flour
4 large eggs
3/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) or 375°F (191°C) on convection and heat a cast iron or other oven safe skillet.

Melt the butter in the skillet. Mix all other ingredients together and pour over the melted butter into the hot skillet. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes or until center is cooked thoroughly and edges have risen high and golden brown.

Serve warm with fruit topping, powdered sugar, honey or syrup.
