Corn Bread
An easy recipe for moist, delicious corn bread.
Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
2 large eggs, beaten
2 Tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 8-inch square pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder. In a small bowl, mix together butter, beaten eggs, milk, buttermilk and sugar. Make a well in the flour mixture and add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture inside the well. Stir just until blended.
Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
